Awards Terms & Conditions

1. How to enter

1.1 To enter the Women in Innovation South Australia (WINN SA) Innovation Awards all applicants must read and understand the terms and conditions and complete and submit the application form for your chosen category.

1.2 To enter you must be a woman and a resident of South Australia for individual categories or a registered organization operating within South Australia for the business category.

1.3 All submissions are to be lodged via the online application form within the member area of the winnovation.com.au website.

1.4 By lodging your submission, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of entry.  

1.5 Your entry must be submitted by the Closing Date. WINN SA reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.

2. Who can enter

2.1 Entries can be made by any woman who is a resident of South Australia for individual categories or any organization operating within South Australia for the business category.

3. Entry requirements

3.1 All entries for consideration must be lodged via the online application form within the member area of the winnovation.com.au website.

3.2 WINN SA reserves the right to declare any entry ineligible, if during the term of the award process your entry form is incomplete or deficient, false or misleading in any way.

3.3 You must be a woman and a resident of South Australia for individual categories or a registered organization operating within South Australia for the business category to enter.

4. Opening Dates

4.1 Nominations and applications open on 18 June 2018.

4.2 WINN SA reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.

5. Closing Dates

5.1 Applications close midnight, Australian Central Standard time 31 July 2018

5.2 WINN SA reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.

6. Confidentiality

6.1 All information provided in the entry form will be used for the purpose of judging only and will be treated as commercial-in-confidence by WINN SA.

6.2 If you are selected as a finalist, the information provided in the entry will be used for the purpose of promoting the Awards and your business.

6.3 If you are selected as a finalist you agree to publicise your entry before the event and if you win, after the event. If you are a finalist and/or if you win, WINN SA have the authority to provide your details to external publicity consultants so that interviews can be conducted and articles can be published.

7. Judging Panel

7.1 All entries are judged by a panel of subject matter experts, selected from business and community leaders from within SA.

7.2 Judging decisions are final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

 

8. Awards

8.1 The Awards comprise of the following categories:  

Science            

Technology

Engineering

Arts

Mathematics & Data

Open

Regional, Rural, Remote

Emerging Innovator

Innovative Women’s Initiative in business

Innovation in Government

Social Impact

9. Announcing the finalists and winners

9.1 Finalists will be notified by phone and/or email, and published on the WINN SA website www.winnovation.com.au after the Awards Night.

9.2 Winners will be announced at the Awards Night.

10. Awards Night

10.1 The Awards Night will be held on 18 October 2018.

10.2 Finalists are expected to attend the Award Ceremony to receive their finalist certificate and, if the winner, their winners trophy.

10.3 Where a finalist is unable to attend the Award Ceremony WINN SA should be notified and the finalist is to arrange an appropriate proxy to attend on their behalf.

10.4 All photographs taken on the night of the ceremony may be used by WINN SA for promotional purposes. You may also be contacted for further promotion of your great work.
