This month, the Women in Innovation Board has been working with the Adelaide Smart City Studio, located on the ground floor of the Colonel Light Centre at 25 Pirie St.
The Studio helps identify and generate commercial opportunities for creative innovators and support their endeavours to build compelling smart city solutions.
The Studio is a collaboration between Cisco, the SA Government and the Adelaide City Council. It has been fitted with some of the latest Cisco technology including an Cisco MX300 dual screen telepresence unit, as part of Cisco’s support for Adelaide as the first Lighthouse City in the Southern Hemisphere.
If you are a technology provider, an innovator or a researcher with an interest in smart city opportunities then call Paul Daly on 8203 7201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Studio will provide access to:
- curated information on the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart city technologies and markets,
- a concierge service for accessing city infrastructure (eg to install and connect sensors),
- connections to IoT technology specialists
- focussed events and networking with a community of like-minded innovators.
The Studio itself can be booked for events and collaborative meetings focussed on smart city projects.
